1. Reception and Selection
The different scrap metal is carefully inspected and selected both manually and mechanically to extract foreign materials and ferrous metals.
2. Material mix
Depending on the type of alloy to be manufactured, the load balance of the scrap is carried out before being introduced into the kiln.
3. Melting & Adjustment
The melting process begins in rotary and tilting furnaces that use methane gas as fuel. The quality is constantly verified by means of test pieces, which are analyzed chemically in optical emission spectrometers.
4. Molding
Once it is verified in the laboratory that the aluminum meets the required specifications, it is proceeded to the emptying in steel molds of different sizes according to the needs of the customer.
5. Final Inspection and Packaging
The ingots are inspected to assure the quality in weight and that they do not have residues of slags or burrs, soon to be packaged in pallets of wood or pallets self-supporting, lined of plastic paper and properly strapped.
